Atlanta’s Deerhunter, fronted by the prolific Bradford Cox, formed in 2001 blending shoegaze, garage and glam. Halcyon Digest (2010, 4AD) is widely considered their high-water mark, landing near the top of 2010 year-end lists, including No.3 at Pitchfork. Their most recent album is Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? (2019), and the band has been on hiatus since its late-2019 tour, with members pursuing side projects.
