The first of Khruangbin and Leon Bridges’ two Texas collaborations, Texas Sun (2020, Dead Oceans) paired the Houston trio’s laid-back instrumental groove with Bridges’ Fort Worth soul voice. Khruangbin, who formed in 2010, went on to a Best New Artist nomination at the 2025 Grammy Awards, remarkable recognition fourteen years in.
