Phantogram are Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, a duo from Greenwich, New York, who played around nearby Saratoga Springs early on and built their sound in a remote barn studio in upstate New York, nicknamed Harmonie Lodge. Their music fuses hip-hop-indebted beats and samples with shoegaze guitar haze and big pop hooks, a style the pair describe as 'street beat, psych pop.' 'As Far As I Can See' comes from their 2010 debut album 'Eyelid Movies,' which announced them as one of the more distinctive-sounding new bands of that era. The band later relocated to California and released their fifth studio album, 'Memory of a Day,' in 2024.
