Pretz

Pretz is a solo ambient-electronic side project of British jazz pianist Neil Cowley, a classically trained prodigy who performed Shostakovich at Queen Elizabeth Hall at age ten and later played sideman for Brand New Heavies and Zero 7 before leading the BBC Jazz Award-winning Neil Cowley Trio. Soundcastles (2006, I Label) is his textural detour from jazz-trio work — and his session credits include piano on Adele’s 19 and 21. The Trio reunited in 2024 for the album Entity.
