LA dream-pop/psych act West Indian Girl, built around Robert James and Francis Ten, released their hazy, Madchester-tinged self-titled debut on Astralwerks in 2004. Vocalist Mariqueen Maandig went on to co-found How to Destroy Angels with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails — real industry pedigree in this act’s lineage.
