Wu-Lu

Wu-Lu is the stage name of Miles Romans-Hopcraft, a musician from Brixton in South London who moves fluidly between punk, hip-hop, dub, and jazz without settling into one lane. He is closely tied to South London's celebrated jazz scene, collaborating with artists like Nubya Garcia, and his 2022 album Loggerhead, his first for Warp Records, earned nominations for Best Punk Record at the Libera Awards and Best Independent Album at the AIM Awards. 'Then I Dream' comes from Ginga, his self-released 2015 debut, made years before that wider recognition. In June 2026 he released Bakerz Dozen, a collaborative EP with POiSON ANNA, on Warp.
